More charges have been laid against 4 Peace River residents in relation to a pair of search warrants that were executed at a home in the community earlier this month.
RCMP there say a man had been forcibly confined in the home the day prior to the search, and appeared to have been restrained, burned and beaten over a period of several hours.
31-year-old Eugene L’Hirondelle, 47-year-old Darren Taylor, 35-year-old Kimberly Stranaghan and 27-year-old Travis Cardinal, all face charges that include forcible confinement and aggravated assault.
A bail hearing for the foursome will take place on Monday.
They, along with two other people, already face a number of drug and weapons related offences in relation to the search warrants.
Mounties believe the confinement case was an isolated, drug related and targeted incident.
