The Alberta Party is hosting a get together Thursday in Grande Prairie.
Conrad Guay, Grande Prairie-Wapiti Constituency Association President, says since Jason Kenney was elected leader of the PC Party, Alberta Party memberships have increased.
“I do have former PC members, like just average normal memberships coming in and definitely people who are saying they are looking for a new home politically.”
He adds “we are trying to be a ‘big tent’ party but with firm walls. We are not interested in extremes on either end of things but we are staking out our plot in the centre here in Alberta politics. It’s been really good.”
The information meeting takes place from 7 till 9 p.m. at Guerino’s Italian.
Party leader Greg Clark is expected to visit Grande Prairie in May.
