Grande Prairie London Drugs celebrated their grand reopening with a donation to the local Salvation Army.
The Executive Vice President of London Drugs Clint Mahlman came from BC to give a speech and cut the ribbon.
He says the family owned business likes to put millions of dollars into the communities they are located and the $5,000 donation is just another way to do that.
“In Grande Prairie, our store management felt that is this time the food bank was in real strong need of support in the last couple years and we were really happy to support them today with the donation.”
And Lieutenant Peter Kim of the Salvation Army says the donation is much needed.
“It’s going to help in supplimenting food that we need in our food hampers. We get a lot of donations in the community but there’s certain items that we need, that we need to purchase and this is a wonderful gift from London Drugs to help us in being able to help the community.”
A new addition to London Drugs is a learning centre for customers who have questions about products and services.
