Nominations close Monday afternoon for the 2017 Leaders of Tomorrow Awards.
It is open to youth aged 13-18 who have made contributions to their community through volunteer work.
The Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau’s Carol-Anne Pasemko says when the awards are handed out on the 26th, Alberta Senator Betty Unger will be in attendance.
“And we’ve added a new little piece to the luncheon this year and that is the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Medallion Awards and so Senator Unger will be presenting those awards to our, I believe, 11 youth in the community.”
The nomination deadline is Monday at 4:30 p.m.
