The Fraser Institute has graded Alberta schools. The top ranked school in our area is Bezanson School at 7.7 out of 10.
Next comes St. Mary’s in Sexsmith at 7.2, up from last year’s 6.6 and Grande Prairie’s Mother Teresa and Manning School, both with a 7.0 grade.
There was a considerable drop for Kateri Mission, going from 5.6 to 4.6.
“Our annual report card takes stock of how schools perform year over year, so parents can quickly see if there are problems that should be corrected,” said Peter Cowley, director of school performance studies at the Fraser Institute and co-author of the report.
There were 790 schools reviewed based on seven academic indicators from provincial test results.
