Sunday is the last day to buy tickets for the Rotary Dream Home Lottery.
Raffle Manager, Kevin Hilgers says ticket sales are 4.75 percent behind last year.
“I think though that the economy is starting to rebound and now we are feeling that in our ticket sales and that is we are catching up our lost ground so it is a perty minimal amount to fret about.”
The 50-50 draw is currently over $373,000 and expected to reach a record high this year.
“We suspect it will be the largest ever in the peace country. Last year was the largest at $398,000… I think we will easily crack a $400,000 50-50.”
The winner of the 50-50 takes half the pot.
Dream Home tickets are a $100 each or three for $250.
“A lot of people say this is the coolest dream home they’ve seen, certainly in the Grande Prairie area. It’s a very modern home, wonderful technology, solar panels on the roof and a very modern look and feel…. some people say it’s a Vancouver like home, so I think we have a very special package.” says Hilgers.
All proceeds will go to local community organizations.
