County of Grande Prairie firefighters have been called to their second horse rescue this month.
They were called to a spot along Secondary Highway 670 and Range Road 34 after a draft horse became stuck in some mud.
They used their specialized training in large animal rescue to save the animal.
The horse is now being looked after by a veterinarian.
On Easter Sunday, firefighters were called out to spot near Hythe after ten horses fell through some ice. Seven were saved.
