The County has made it easier for people planning a camping trip, with a new online reservation system.
Parks & Recreation Manager Christine Rawlins says Pipestone Creek Campground guests can reserve prior to the May 15th season start until the end of the camping season on October 15th of this year.
“This new system will greatly increase convenience and improve the camping experience at Pipestone Creek Campground,” said Rawlins. “With the online reservation system, campers will be able to plan ahead and no longer need to drive out to the campground mid-week to reserve a spot or pay for nights before they arrive. We anticipate that this savings and overall convenience will encourage people to camp at Pipestone more frequently throughout the summer.”
The system will provide information to users about the campsite size, maximum occupancy allowed and maps of surrounding amenities.
“This is the County’s first time implementing an online reservation system for campgrounds, and if it works the way we are expecting, we will consider expanding it to other key campgrounds in the future,” added Rawlins. “We encourage campers to register from their desktop or mobile device before travelling to Pipestone. Those who don’t can make their reservation at the self-registration kiosk in the main parking lot of the campground.”
Credit cards can be used for payment online or at kiosks located on the campground.
Cash or cheque will no longer be accepted.
