Thanks to the rain overnight, and forecasted precipitation over the weekend, the Fire Advisory issued Wednesday afternoon for the Grande Prairie region has been lifted.
The wildfire hazard has also been dropped from high to moderate.
Wildfire officials ask those using off-road vehicles to take caution when driving in areas with cured grass. If you are burning make sure to soak, stir and soak again when putting out your fire.
There have been 191 fires in Alberta during the 2017 wildfire season to date, and 10 in the Grande Prairie region.
