Camp Tamarack will have a new addition to the facility in the form of a climbing tower.
Adventureworks has started construction of the 32-foot tower.
Spokesperson, Ken Belke says it is multi-sided.
“It’s a three-sided tower, so its got a nose on one side and an overhang. Its got a concave wall on the other side and it has a rappelling wall, so you can actually learn how to rappel.”
He says the production of the tower was funded through community donations.
“When we’re decorating Easter eggs at Walmart and people give us donations and that’s made a big difference. We have donations from companies. Lots of groups come up here to help us and it’s that community support that allowed us to go ahead with such an exciting project.”
The price tag on the project is about $74,000.
It’s set to be complete by the beginning of June.
