New trial dates set for Goodridge
New trial dates have been set for a man charged after a double murder two years ago near Fox Creek.
Daniel Goodridge will now stand trial October 29 to November 9, 2018 in Grande Prairie. He was to go to trial May 15 to June 9 this year, but that had to be changed because of unspecified personal matters for Goodridge’s counsel.
The case was back in Grande Prairie Court of Queen’s Bench Monday. Goodridge did not appear in person or by closed circuit television.
He is facing two murder charges, three of assault with a weapon and another of interfering with a dead body after a July 2015 stabbing attack at a work camp near Fox Creek.
A 37-year-old man and 50-year-old woman were killed.
Musse back in court
The case involving the accused in the Prairie Mall shooting was back in Grande Prairie court Monday.
A trial was to start in late May for Liban Musse but that had to be put off as he had not retained a lawyer.
A Grande Prairie court heard Monday that Musse has since taken steps towards hiring someone to represent him.
The case is back in court June 28
