Two females face charges after Peace Regional RCMP responded to a shooting complaint at a home in Berwyn at 6:30 Thursday morning.
A suspect vehicle fled the scene and was later found at a residence in Grimshaw.
Rebecca Rita Garnett, 27, of Grimshaw is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, break and enter, possession of a break and enter tool, use of a firearm in an aggravated assault, possession of a firearm, prohibited possession of a firearm, possession for the purpose of trafficking x 3, and possession of a controlled substance x 2.
Peace River native, 26-year-old Tina Redekop, faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking x 3, and possession of a controlled substance x 2.
The shooting victim sustained what are described as non life-threatening injuries.
Garnett will appear in Peace River Provincial Court June 19, 2017 via CCTV. Redekop will appear in Peace River Provincial Court on the same date.
