Conservative unity in the province will be the focus of an open house tonight when the PC leader and Wildrose leader are in town.
The event is being organized by Alberta Can’t Wait spokesperson Steve Martins says it is important Jason Kenney and Brian Jean speak together at a unity event.
“These guys are our leaders, if you like them or if you don’t, they are our leaders and if these two can’t be united it just makes it harder for other people to unite under this one cause. So, I think it is crucially important for them to do these events together.”
He says anyone is welcome to attend.
“I want as many people in there that we can possibly get in there, they tell me they have room for 300 and if more people than that show up we will just try to work with that. Everybody should come and if you are not convinced of the unity process then you should definitely show up.”
PC and Wildrose members will be voting next month whether to merge the two parties.
The open house is at the Pomeroy Inn 7-9 p.m.
