Derek Saretzky has been found guilty of first degree murder, in the deaths of three people in the Crowsnest Pass in 2015.
A jury in Lethbridge deliberated for three hours Wednesday, June 28 before returning verdicts of guilty. Saretzky was convicted of the murders of Terry Blanchette, his two-year-old daughter Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette, and Hanne Meketech.
Saretzky was also found guilty of committing an indignity to a body in the case of Hailey.
The verdict means Saretzky will be sentenced to life in prison. The only question that remained was parole eligibility. Jurors were given a short break, before being asked for a recommendation on parole eligibility.
