Semi finalists have been determined at the Rangeland Derby in Calgary.
Kurt Bensmiller took home the Richard Cosgrove Memorial Trophy for the best aggregate time over the week.
He will be joined by two Grande Prairie drivers in Saturday night’s semi finals – Chanse Vigen and defending champion Kirk Sutherland.
Grande Prairie native and 12 time Rangeland derby champ Kelly Sutherland, who is racing in his final Calgary Stampede, finished 9th in the aggregate and just out of the semi finals.
Other semi finalists include Logan Gorst, Obrey Motowylo, Chad Harden, Troy Dorchester, and Evan Salmond.
John Walters had the best time on Friday night, followed by Colt Cosgrave and Mark Sutherland.
Meanwhile, day two of the Western Chucks in Teepee Creek saw Eric Rever put up the best time, followed by Lane Kimble, Rick McRorie and Dean Dreger.
Rever also leads the aggregate, followed by Kimble, Dreger and McRorie.
