Two males in their teens have died after the vehicle they were travelling in went down a bank and into the water near High Prairie.
RCMP responded to the call around 2 a.m. Saturday on Range Road 272 approximately five kilometres South of High Prairie.
Police say three males age 16, 17 and 18 were in the SUV when it went down a bank and into the West Prairie River near Randal’s beach. The two older teens passed away the scene. The 16-year-old suffered minor injuries.
RCMP did not confirm what caused the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
In a press release that went out Sunday, RCMP expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the youths.
