They haven’t won a game on the field, but the Manning Mets have forced a fifth and deciding game in their Wheatbelt Baseball League playoff series with Peace River.
Manning filed a protest over Game 3, a win for the Stampeders, because the Mets thought Peace River had used an ineligible player.
The league upheld the protest and awarded Manning a default win.
The Mets will also get a default win for what would have been Game 4 tonight because Peace River did not have enough players.
Game 5 will be played Tuesday in Manning.
The game set for tonight between Rycroft and the County Brewers has been postponed because of rain. A make-up date has not been announced.
The Rage lead that best-of-five series 2-1.
