It’s too early for final numbers, but Bear Creek Folk Music Festival organizers believe they’re right on par with last year.
Artistic Director and Producer at the festival Sarah Card says things went pretty smoothly.
“We learned a lot of lessons last year,” she said. “New stuff always comes up, but it’s been a really fantastic weekend. It’s a little bit chilly in the evenings, but people just adapted and brought blankets and huddled up.”
They had a few challenges this year, but nothing their team of 500 volunteers couldn’t handle.
“Definitely the thing that kind of got us a little bit this year was the wind. There are ways in which I would definitely prepare more for that next time. But, I mean, we’ve got such a great team of people who just adapt and roll with it,” Card explained.
The festival featured four stages and 34 performers this year.
