The fire hazard has moved to very high in the Grande Prairie Forest Area with the continued warm weather.
Wildfire watchers say this is also the time of year when grass starts to dry out, adding to the fire concern.
People are reminded to call 310-FIRE if they think they see a wildfire.
Off-Highway Vehicle users are also reminded to check their machines for hot spots and keep them free of debris.
There is rain in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
Wildfire watchers also say the smoke in the air is coming from B.C. and the U.S.
