A hazmat team was called to the Canada Post Distribution Centre in Grande Prairie today.
A release from the fire department says a call came in at 11:15 a.m. Monday morning about what is described as “a suspicious and unknown substance”, later identified as methamphetamine.
The Fire Department says a postal employee had found an unmarked package in a mail drop box. Other staff isolated it in a secure area before calling in firefighters.
It has been turned over to the RCMP.
