Fourteen people, including four incumbents, are running for trustee spots in the Grande Prairie Public School District Election.
Two wards in the Peace Wapiti School Division will have elections. Two people are running in Ward 5, Grande Prairie West and Wembley. Three are running in Ward 7, Grande Prairie East and Grovedale. There is no candidate yet in Ward 3, the Beaverlodge-Elmworth area. All others have been filled by acclamation.
In Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools, ten people, two of them incumbents, are running for the five spots in Ward 1, which takes in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Sexsmith.
Ward 2, the Spirt River area, has been filled by acclimation.
No one filed papers for Ward 3, which takes in Fairview and area. Nominations will be open from 10 a.m. to Noon daily this week or until papers are filed.
