A startling number of people were caught driving impaired last weekend in Fairview.
Fairview RCMP and the Peace River Integrated Traffic Unit charged six people between 10 p.m. Friday night and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
“One impaired driver is too many,” said Corporal Jason McLaren, with the Fairview RCMP Detachment. “Impaired drivers are not only putting themselves in danger but the public we serve.”
Impaired driving is the leading criminal cause of death in Canada and police remind people to always plan ahead if you are drinking.
