The Tree of Hope will once again light up in Grande Prairie.
Wes L’Hirondelle decorated the giant spruce last year for the first time in front of his home along 100th street around 85th avenue.
“It represents the community, the community of dreams, of hopes, wishes, of being together and having a true sense of spirit we all have inside of us. So it’s more than anything we can define because for each one of us it will have that certain little meaning.”
This year L’Hirondelle is looking for bicycle rims to use as decorations.
“I won’t tell you what they will be used for it will be a surprise when the lighting goes on November 25th, so if anyone could donate them I’d truly appreciate them. I need 60 of them.”
He says the tree will be decorated Thanksgiving long weekend and the rims are needed by then.
