There are mixed results for the City and County of Grande Prairie in the newest housing start numbers.
Canada Mortgage and Housing says there have been 115 single family home starts in the City so far this year, up from 70 over the same time last year.
In the County, there have been 135 starts so far in 2017, compared to 94 in the first nine months of 2016.
Drops in multi-unit construction have seen total starts decrease from 178 to 151 in the City and from 188 to 150 in the County.
There have been 36 multiple-unit starts in the City through September this year compared to 108 in 2016.
In the County, starts for multiples have gone from 94 to 14.
