Gift cards, cash donations and various items are being collected for an online auction, with proceeds supporting Valleyview native Jessica Klymchuk’s family.
She lost her life in what was the largest mass shooting in U.S. history October 1 in Las Vegas.
Amanda Arnold has spearheaded the fundraiser.
“Jessica was an amazing person who had no problem doing anything for anyone else. And she was always there for her kids. I feel, as a community, that the least we can do is step up to make sure they have a sustained, normal as possible lifestyle,” Arnold explained. “It (donations) can be from businesses, directly from their supply, whatever they prefer to donate. If a family just wants to donate items, they’re welcome to do so as well. If people also want to donate cash, they can do that directly through ATB.”
Items will be collected until Saturday, October 14 at 9 p.m.
“Auction items will be posted from October 15 to 22. Anyone can bid and the winners will be able to arrange payment and pick-up at the end of the auction,” said Arnold.
Klymchuk has four children and every dollar raised will go directly into their trust fund.
