UPDATE: Water has been restored in the Town, but a boil water advisory remains in effect.
The Information Alert from Alberta Emergency Alert has ended as of 9:56 p.m.
The Town of Wembley is without water this afternoon.
In a Facebook post, the Town says due to poor condition of older valves they were unable to isolate a break in the water main.
They wrote that they are unsure of how long the repair will take, but Public Works are currently repairing the break.
At 1:53 p.m., Alberta Emergency Alert said the fix could take at least seven hours to complete.
AEA is also advising not to drink the tap water and that there is drinking water available at the Wembley Fire Hall.
