Grande Prairie's version of the Amazing Race is just around the corner. The May 30th event runs in conjunction with Municipal Government Day.

Frances Russell, a Health Promotions Facilitator with AHS, says they're currently looking for 15 teams.

"About seven people but five is fine. They can be family, co-workers and friends. Kids 13 and up are welcome to participate as long as they have their guardian's permission,' she says.

Council members will participate in a modified version of the race at 3 p.m. and the public one will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Contestants will have until 6 p.m. to finish it.
