Long Weekend Almost Here, Remember Those RV Rules!
May 16, 2012
As the first long weekend of the summer season approaches, a lot of people are planning on a little Victoria Day getaway. That means RVs and trailers have popped up all over town as preperations are made.
Gord McMahon with Enforcement Servics says there are new rules regarding where off-road units can be parked.
"It can only be there for a maximum of 48 hours and after that, the RV must be removed and can't be returned for another 24 hours." he says. "When it's parked, it can't cause obstruction or prevent the safe passage of vehicles or pedestrians."
Failing to obey the bylaw could mean a $100 fine.
