Reel Shorts Film Festival Program Unveiled

Apr 25, 2012

The Reel Shorts Film Festival has unveiled its 2012 program. 101 films will be featured, including two world premiers of Peace Region movies (Found a Peanut and The Last Laugh).

Founder and Director Terry Scerbak says it's a neat event if you've never been before.

"You'll sit down and watch between five and 11 films. We mix it up. The same package could have drama, comedy and a documentary," she says.

Scerbak adds the festival has grown significantly since its birth in 2007.

"That year we maybe had 34 films. Last year, 1700 people came through the doors and we expect 2,000 this year," she says.

The Festival runs May 2-6 at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre. Passes are $50. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
