A steady weekend for RCMP locally. Officers handled 229 calls from 4 p.m. Friday to 7 this morning. No major crime wave, but lots to keep them busy. Thirteen assault reports were filed along with 25 incidents of mischief, six break ins and 17 theft reports. Despite the ideal driving conditions, there were 14 collisions on the books by today as well.
