City Council will discuss approving a tender of $425,320.00 to fix the concrete aprons at the south fire hall.
Project Technologist Andrew Booth says the existing ones are cracked and chunks are missing.
“The scope of work involves them to remove the entire concrete aprons, prepare the base, put in some screw piles, put in some forms and a whole bunch of rebar and then they are going to pour the concrete and then they are going to fix up the asphalt and then they will be on their way.”
City Council approved $689,950.00 for Road Rehab and Apron at Pete Eagar Fire Station in the 2014 – 2018 Capital Budget.
During construction, the fire station will stay open and continue operations.
