There is a fire advisory in effect for the Grande Prairie Forest Area.
The dry conditions will cause light flashy fuels to catch fire and flames can spread quickly.
Fire permits are still valid, but may be suspended if the warm dry weather continues.
Permit holders are asked to use caution, follow all permit rules and make sure there is a water source near by while burning.
The advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.
In conjunction with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, the County of Grande Prairie has also issued a fire advisory.
Anyone with a permit is asked not to do any burning. No new permits will be issued.
The County wants to remind everyone that burning is not permitted when the wind is 12 km/h or higher and that burning is prohibited in the Dunes Natural Area.
