Ten utility cabinets throughout Grande Prairie are wrapped in art this year.
The local art and photography works were selected to help beautify the city, while also deterring graffiti.
The artwork is printed on graffiti resistant vinyl film and wrapped around ten utility boxes in the city.
This was the fourth year for the program and the Community Enhancement Committee was extremely impressed with the number and the quality of the submissions.
“Each year we see an increased amount of submissions,” says Kristi Lea, Community Enhancement Facilitator at the City of Grande Prairie. “The committee was impressed at not only the amount, but also at the high calibre of the works entered.”
The winning artworks can be viewed on the program’s website.
The program resumes next year and the next round of submissions will be called for in early 2018.
