Canada Mortgage and Housing says single family home starts are way up in the City and County of Grande Prairie this year compared to 2016.
The City has seen single family starts jump from 37 to 68 through the first six months of this year, while the County saw it’s starts go from 45 to 80.
June numbers follow a similar pattern, with single family starts going to 20 this year from two last year in the City and to 68 this year from 37 last year in the County.
Multiple starts numbers are going the other direction.
They are down from 93 to 20 in the City, 84 to 12 in the County, so far in 2017.
