The woman killed in Las Vegas in the mass shooting has been identified as Jessica Klymchuk, a single mother of four, who was visiting Vegas with her fiancé.
Klymchuk’s Facebook says she is from Valleyview.
A fellow teacher, who did not wish to be named, said Klymchuk was an employee at St. Stephen’s Catholic School in Valleyview.
A candlelight vigil is being held Tuesday, October 3 for Jessica Klymchuk. It’s taking place at St. Stephen’s School in Valleyview, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Another Canadian victim has been identified as Jordan McIldoon of Maple Ridge, B.C., who would have celebrated his 24th birthday on Friday.
His parents are now travelling to Las Vegas to bring home his body.
The death toll is now at 58 and the number of injured at 515 after someone opened fire in what is largest mass shooting in U.S. history.
Police say 64-year-old gunman Stephen Paddock killed himself after shooting from his room inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
They found at least 10 weapons in the room on the 32nd floor, but have not yet been able to establish a motive.
