Grande Prairie’s ALERT team, along with local RCMP, Police Dog Services and Traffic Services have made a pair of arrests following a short-term investigation.
On September 28, search warrants were executed at a Swan City home and vehicle. Over $15,000 in drugs and cash was seized. Replica firearms were also found.
Among the items seized was 54 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of meth, 1.5 grams of heroin, a large number of contraband cigarettes, a pair of replica handguns and nearly $9,000 cash proceeds of crime.
“Drug trafficking and related crimes have a considerable impact on public safety. This was a quick hit investigation by our ALERT team that will help keep Grande Prairie a safe community,” said Inspector Dave Dubnyk, officer in charge of regional teams for ALERT.
Andre Rozon, 42, faces charges that include three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
Rebecca Reilly, 26, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance.
