Trevor Denis will replace Terri Sudnik as the Grande Prairie Stompede President. He was elected to take on the position Thursday night at the Stompede’s Annual General Meeting. Sudnik told our newsroom Thursday that she didn’t plan to run again this year for the spot.
Denis feels that although he has big boots to fill, he is the right one for the job.
“I was born and raised Grande Prairie. It is something we always did as a family growing up. I continue to enjoy it in my adults years,” explains the new elect.
“I thought I would get involved and I have been part of it for about ten years now. I am looking forward to working with the fantastic board of directors we had elected.”
Sudnik was at the helm of the organization for 6 years.
Denis has worked with the Grand Entry, as Beer Gardens Director, and with the V.I.P. Hosting. He says he sticks with the event because it promotes the western way of life.
