The Pittsburgh Penguins will continue their Alberta road trip tonight in Calgary, but Carter Rowney won’t be in the lineup.
Rowney — who won a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh last year — broke his hand on October 21 when he blocked a shot against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He has been out for five games, including the Penguins 3-2 victory in Edmonton Wednesday night.
The 6’2″, 200-pound right wing had two points in nine games before his injury.
In July, over 2000 people showed up in Sexsmith for Rowney’s visit with the Stanley Cup. Rowney is a graduate of the Grande Prairie Storm.
